Teslas are actually more dangerous on the road than Ford Pintos.

Weird fact- the Mormon family that lives down the block from me just bought a new Tesla. The wife loves it, but if she needs service, the closest dealer is 6 hours away in Colorado Springs or 8 hours away in Kansas City.

I just watched that Therac 25 video. Yikes. Back in the days when computers were dumb, but the operators were dumber. Great story, though!!

Seeing that DOS cursor gave me flashbacks...

Waymo cars cost approximately 10X (!) what a Tesla FSD car costs. So the Tesla FSD cars don't work properly yet. It's an AI and Robotic problem and AI and Robotics are ADVANCING VERY QUICKLY. Even five years from now, all that lidar, radar, and extensive cameras in a Waymo are going to cost several times what a Tesla Robotaxi costs. Do you really think the Tesla Robotaxi will not become much safer than a human driver in the next few years? You're talking about a group of companies that invented the modern EV; catch huge rocket ships when they fall out of the air, and run an internet satellite system which is essential to countries around the world. GO LONG ON TESLA!

Tesla is valued at a trillion or so, despite being worthless. Same with crypto. Even for companies that are profitable, stock market valuations are now meaningless.
