I have really enjoyed your columns, well written, detailed and a great read. But videos would be great too and movie nights could bring some great discussions.
I seem to be an outlier in many things, so I wouldn't take my vote too seriously, but FWIW I vote strongly that you slow down, avoid burnout, and consider just one good essay per week. I often unsubscribe or just start ignoring those who throw too much content my way. My life is rich and full, and I don't have the time to be bombarded with content.
Secondly, I vote against video essays. You may love them, but I do not. For one thing, I'm severely hard of hearing. More importantly, someone speaking at me is the worst and slowest possible way for me to absorb information. My reading speed is far in excess of any spoken text. I watch science and math videos on YouTube at 1.5 (and sometimes 2.0) speed. For example, your most recent essay about Her seems interesting, but I won't take the 42 minutes of time required for watching it. I'm sorry, but 42 minutes of an opinion piece is about 30 minutes too much for me.
I like what you write and will read it, but my wish for you is to not burn yourself out and to continue producing thoughtful pieces at a comfortable rate for us both.
I love to read, probably too much time spent here doing that. So if you consider it, my choice is fewer & longer high quality articles. I’ve been enjoying your series on musk’s companies, thanks!
Less content, more substance. Take your time, stay healthy. At this time, there's not a single sane mind to spare.
Agreed
For me, I personally skip videos here. But that is my preference, I prefer to read.
Movie club does sound fun though

May I suggest we start with "1984"? ;)
Thanks, Will!
All sounds good. I'd rather less amount of articles/content but you stay well and keep the quality high, as you do.
Take good care of yourself first. That’s most important.
